Osteopath in Suffolk announces new team member
Osteopath in Suffolk announces new team member, Craig May.
Here at Osteopath in Suffolk, we have become aware of the increasing wait time for appointments, and to support our clients, we have the exciting news that our human osteopath team is growing!
We’re thrilled to announce that we have a new osteopath joining our team - Craig May.
Craig joins the team with 8 years’ experience in Sports Massage and completed his Osteopathy degree in June 2025.
Craig has been driven by a want and need to help people from a young age - always wanting to be a Physiotherapist when he was young, and worked in the Emergency Services for 16 years before deciding that this just wasn’t enough for him, when he began to explore Osteopathy as a means to help keep his local community in their best health.
Craig, alongside general human osteopathy practice, has particular interests and skills within Visceral Osteopathy and working with the elderly.
He firmly believes that Osteopathy works really well in improving peoples’ structure and function. As we age, we see changes in our bodies and how they respond to trauma or injury. Small issues such as shoulder pain, can result in loss of core functions, and can become big issues quite quickly. Craig likes to work with these patients to improve their structure and function so that daily tasks don’t become difficult or overwhelming.
Visceral Osteopathy is a gentle form of hands-on treatment that focuses on the body’s internal organs (such as stomach, liver, intestines, bladder and lungs) and the way they move. Just like our muscles and joints need to move freely, our organs also need a certain amount of natural movement to work properly. This movement is made possible by layers of connective tissue that attach the organs to each other and the rest of the body.
Sometimes these natural movements become restricted. This might happen after illness, injury, infection, stress, poor posture or simply as part of the ageing process. The aim of treatment is to gently support and restore natural movement in the organs and surrounding tissues. This can help to optimise blood and nerve supply, support the body’s natural healing processes and reduce strain on the muscles and joints.
Visceral Osteopathy treatment is always gentle and tailored to each person - working with the body rather than forcing it. Many people find that improving the movement of the internal organs also helps with posture, comfort and overall wellbeing.
Craig is now available within the Osteopath in Suffolk clinic to book for human osteopathy treatment, and we’re really excited for you to meet him and experience how his approach can support your health.
