In addition to our brand new Treatment Centre based in Needham Market, Suffolk where we specialise in both human and canine osteopathy, we are also available for equine appointments throughout East Anglia.

As a team, we pride ourselves on our collaborative approach to your overall health. We will work with you to give you the exact tools, resources, education and support that you need to take control of the symptoms you’re experiencing so that you can manage this effectively long term.

This support ensures that you’re not tied into weekly appointments between which you may see little-to-no improvement. We will provide hands-on treatment as and when it is needed to further aid your recovery.

As with humans, our furry friends can feel discomfort at times. Whether this be due to osteoarthritis, injury or simply age - at Osteopath in Suffolk our team of Fully registered Osteopath’s, trained to Masters level, have all completed their post-graduate Animal Osteopathy training with the renowned Stuart McGregor at the Osteopathic Centre for Animals.

Using traditional and complementary therapies, our team aim to assess your dog, identify their concerns and get them moving as comfortably as possible, as quickly as they’re able.

At our clinic in Needham Market we have a special area dedicated to our canine patients where they can feel safe and at ease during their treatment.

Box and / or Cage rest I get this question a lot - "I've been told to box rest or cage rest my horse or dog, should we?" I'm going to get this out of the way first - if your vet has said you need too, then follow that advice! Your Vet doesn't say to do it for fun, there will be a reason 👍 But.... Be aware of this. Research shows that just 5 days of decreased use of muscles results in 9% loss of strength. 14 days leads to 23% loss of strength 😬 Why is that important? Because when you lose muscle strength and mass, you lose stability and control of the affected limb. So if you have to restrict exercise because your vet says you need to, then your next question NEEDS to be "how do I rehab my animal after the box rest?" Meet the team 5 😁 Last but not least, there's Jim Jim started OIS and has been described, mostly from his yard visits as "that bloke in the cowboy hat" (ps - Aussie Bushman's, but we'll let that slide 🤣) Jim is a lover of outdoor sports (although weirdly doesn't like horse riding 🤷) and martial arts - which has lead him to sponsor a number of fighters over the years!
