Jim Hurden | Human, Canine & Equine Osteopath in Suffolk

Jim Hurden trained at the London School of Osteopathy, graduating with a Masters in Osteopathy (awarded Distinction). He went on to complete post graduate Animal Osteopathy training with Stuart McGregor, an acknowledged world authority on animal biomechanics and osteopathic treatment, at the Osteopathic Centre for Animals.

Jim was appointed as a registrant member to one of the committees of the General Osteopathic Council and has guest lectured at the London School of Osteopathy on Safeguarding and Professionalism within Osteopathic practice.

Jim has recently been asked to return to the Osteopathic Centre for Animals and is now a Lecturer teaching animal osteopathic technique. Before practicing Osteopathy, Jim spent nearly 15 years in the emergency services and outside of practice is an active SCUBA diver and Climbing enthusiast; generally trying to spend as much time off dry land as he can!

When not in clinic, he can usually be found at Avid Climbing in Ipswich, drinking coffee and trying to complete some techy bouldering problem. Jim has trained and competed in a number of martial arts disciplines over the years and has a long standing interest in managing sporting injuries – particularly in horse riders, fighters and rock climbers.

Georgia “Gee” Simmons | Human, Canine & Equine Osteopath in Suffolk

Georgia Simmons Human Equine Canine Osteopath in Suffolk

In 2017 Georgia qualified with a Masters in Osteopathy from the European School of Osteopathy. Prior to starting the course Georgia had always wanted to work with animals with previous experience working with farm livestock, racing greyhounds and horses.

After three years of working in human practice Georgia has completed a post graduate course in animal osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre for animals with Stuart McGregor. Here she obtained valuable knowledge and experience in equine biomechanics, anatomy and physiology as well as osteopathic technique. Georgia has an interest in the relationship between horse and rider biomechanics and see’s human and canine patients at our Needham Market Treatment Centre on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Georgia is a keen equestrian and has her own horse, a beautiful grey Irish Draught X called Haze who she hopes to event - as well as three Italian Spinones!

Georgia is thrilled to announce that she will be introducing a new service to our Treatment Centre in Needham Market. In summer 2023, Georgia will be bringing the Mummy MOT to clinic - providing vital post-natal support and treatments for new mums across Suffolk. We will be providing further information on this great new service in due course, so watch this space!

Katie Lancaster is the proud owner of the ‘Zen Den’ located with the OIS Treatment Centre at Encore Wellness Centre.

Katie has been a qualified massage therapist for 8 years - setting up K J L Holistics in 2020.

Katie has had an interest in holistic wellness since an early age, involving herself in simple yet effective hobbies such as yoga, health, meditation, music, cooking, saunas, cold water therapy and simply being out in nature.

Katie used her personal time to deep-dive into studying holistic therapies - becoming qualified in the ancient wisdom of reflexology and hijama/fire cupping, along with endless research in different styles of massage techniques - in doing this she became aware of her passion of giving from an intuitive space, connecting the body, mind and soul.

Setting a safe and relaxing atmosphere - Katie begins her treatments with a short, guided meditation - allowing your body to do the talking - using a range of Eastern and Western techniques including using palms, thumbs, knuckles, elbows, forearms and tools like Fire Cupping, Gua Sha, Hijama & Aromatherapy for powerful results.

Katie’s words:

“Partnering with the Osteopath in Suffolk team, within their treatment centre in Encore Wellness Centre has allowed me to accomplish my vision for K J L Holistics - working alongside like-minded, incredible body workers. I truly believe between us we can achieve profound results for helping you get the most out of what your incredible bodies have to offer.”
